A History of Boston Radio: Remembering a Magical Mass Medium with Donna Halper

May 6 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am EDT

Radio has been the soundtrack of our lives for decades.  Many of us recall listening to Arnie “Woo-Woo” Ginsburg or Dick Summer or Dave Maynard or David Brudnoy.  So, take a trip down memory lane with Media Historian and former broadcaster Donna Halper, who wrote a book about the history of Boston radio, and is well-known for her discovery of the rock band Rush (they dedicated two albums to her). Donna will discuss the stations and the personalities we all loved to listen to, including some interesting Dedham connections, and she will bring rare radio station memorabilia too.  She will also talk about how radio has changed, and why it remains an important medium even in our internet age.
