America’s Music with Jack Radcliffe (Rescheduled)
March 1 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Jack has been performing for more than 30 years. He is a master of traditional country blues, ragtime & stride piano and a powerful singer
Jack’s presentation at the library on March 1st will strengthen the multi generational connection to America’s own unique musical form – jazz – and in the process will help children understand and appreciate this country’s cultural heritage. The influence – and common thread – of jazz in American culture cannot be overstated. The earliest American style of music, jazz has influenced music throughout the world, from Afro-pop to klezmer, from gospel to big band swing.
This program includes a 60- to 90-minute presentation of music, history and cultural information formatted to captivate young and mature minds alike and help them experience an era that would otherwise be lost. A brief question and answer period will follow.
