Creating an Optimal Environment for Care Partners and People Living with Dementia

June 9, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT

Join us for this evening talk to learn how to create an optimal environment of care partners and people living with dementia.  We will hear from Donna Newman-Bluestein, a professional with 40+ years experience and whose father had dementia.

As we all know, a dementia diagnosis brings a plethora of challenges, not only to the person with the diagnosis, but also those who care for them. The burden of care can be great and it can be difficult to know how to relate to the person, how to get them to be compliant with their care, and how to enjoy being with them.

We will learn:

  • how to make life just a little bit easier for care partners and people with dementia (and little things turn out to be big)

  • how to help the person with dementia find meaning

  • what doctors in the UK are prescribing for people living with dementia

This program is sponsored in part by Dedham Savings.
