Team Hoyt Visit

Dick, Rick Hoyt and all of Team Hoyt are Boston Marathon icons. Russ and Rick Hoyt will be at the library to discuss how their family got involved in running events and the work of the Hoyt Foundation.
Dick and Rick Hoyt began their running journey in 1977 when Rick, a quadriplegic with cerebral palsy, expressed interest in participating in a 5-mile charity road race. Since then, the two completed over 1,000 running and endurance events including triathlons, Ironman competitions, and marathons.
The Hoyt Foundation is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1989. The Hoyt Foundation aspires to build the individual character, self-confidence and self-esteem of America’s disabled young people through inclusion in all facets of daily life. – TeamHoyt.com
