Wednesday Workshops: Crafting an Artful Life

Are you striving to live your life in a way that supports your mind, body and spirit? This series is designed to explore some tools and ways to craft an artful life and live with intention. We will meet twice a month to learn about and develop ways in which we can work in our journals, create, and surround ourselves with things that bring us joy in an inspiring and supportive community.
Seed ideas and prompts will be given each week, which we will ponder, expand on, and experiment with.
Whether we’re sketching, writing, moving or crafting…. you will find that you’re expressing yourself in your own way and finding those things that resonate with you.
Registration is required through Eventbrite.

Each date will have a different focus:
April 12: Art & Music Exploration
April 26: Zines…Creating Them and Their Uses
May 10: Make a Journal Using the Coptic Stitch
May 31: Paper Collage

Supplies:
If you’re joining us in-person at the Library, we’ve got all the supplies that you’ll need. Feel free to bring any special supplies that you’d like to add.
Online participants: You will receive a link to the supply lists once you’ve registered.
General Supply List:
Journal: notebook/sketchbook/binder for loose pages
a variety of pens & markers
Paste glue, tape and/or glue sticks
Scissors
An expired Gift Card or Credit Card
collage materials (magazines, copies of your own photos…) Royalty Free images can be found online and printed from Pixabay, Unsplash, Pexels, etc. Other great resources are: Smithsonian Image Gallery https://library.si.edu/image-gallery and Cornell University’s Macaulay Library for wildlife images https://www.macaulaylibrary.org
