In just one hour you’ll make your own pizza dough and have pizza for your whole family. To make this recipe you’ll need the following ingredients: sugar (1 TBSP), active dry yeast, olive oil, flour, salt and your choice of pizza toppings (sauce, cheese, veggies, meats, etc).

Virtual Non-Fiction Book Club

This is a book club for people who celebrate lifelong learning and are willing to explore new worlds.

We will read books on history, sociology, science, psychology, travel, adventure – books that will contribute to a better understanding of ourselves and of the world around us.

First book we will discuss on October 8 is: “The Splendid and the Vile”, by Erik Larson.

The book club meeting will take place the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m.

Ricotta Gnocchi Mac and Cheese

Join Katie, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers, to make homemade Ricotta Gnocchi Mac & Cheese (GF options available)!

To make this tasty dish, you’ll need the following ingredients: 15oz container Ricotta, 3 egg yolks, flour (AP or GF), grated Parmesan, milk, cheddar cheese, butter and optional breadcrumbs. No special equipment required. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask Katie and food and nutrition related questions you may have.

Dedham Public Library Spooktacular Movie Club

Join Tobi and May for our Spooktacular Movie Club where we watch and talk about some of our favorite Halloween movies during the month of October! Our first movie discussion will be on the very first Halloween movie directed by John Carpenter on October 14th, followed by Tucker and Dale vs Evil on the 21st and ending with Nosferatu on the 28th. All of these movies are available through Hoopla so all you need to see them is your library card! So, head to Hoopla, check out and watch the movie then join us for a spooky themed Halloween meetup this October at the Dedham Public Library.

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy: Awareness Inspires Conservation

Kristen Kibblehouse from The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy will lead us in a program about the latest research on white sharks and how it is effecting conservancy and what this research is teaching us. She will also talk about Public Safety and have true/false trivia questions.
