Adult Cooking – Strawberry Crumb Bars

Join Katie, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers, to make Strawberry Crumb Bars!
These bars can be made with any berry, fresh or frozen, or a mixture!
You’ll need the following ingredients: flour, butter, sugar, oats, strawberries (or raspberries, blueberries, blackberries), lemon juice, baking powder, salt, 1 egg and optional vanilla.

Adult Cooking – Italian Egg Rolls

Join Carla, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers, to make Italian Egg Rolls!

This dish can easily be meat-free, and will be sealed with egg roll wrappers and baked until crispy and golden brown.

You will need the following ingredients: egg roll wrappers (refrigerated), 1 onion, 1 bell pepper, garlic, olive oil, spinach, Parmesan, shredded mozzarella and optional sausage or ground beef and marinara sauce.

Adult Cooking – Chocolate Ganache Tart

Join Katie, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers to make a Chocolate Ganache Tart! This no-bake, decadent treat is easier than it sounds.

You’ll need the following ingredients:  Oreo cookies or chocolate graham crackers, butter, 12 oz either dark or milk chocolate (or half & half) and heavy cream. This can also be topped with homemade whipped cream (heavy cream + sugar). A pie or tart tin is recommended.

Join Food Explorers to make Bananas Foster Pop-Tarts!

You’ll make your own pastry and banana filling, with a delicious glaze on top. You’ll need the following ingredients: flour, salt, butter, white sugar, brown sugar, powdered sugar, 1 banana, cinnamon, 1 egg plus optional vanilla, nutmeg and maple syrup.

Food Explorers is for kids in grades 2-8. Parent supervision is recommended.

A rolling pin is required. This program takes place on Zoom.
