Many of our Dedham Collection materials are also locatable in the general Minuteman Library Network Catalog. A staff members can help if you are having trouble locating items.

What is in the Dedham Collection?

We've created a Finding Aid for the Dedham Collection which outlines the extent of the collection and the location of the material.

Genealogy Appointment

The Dedham Public Library offers one-on-one genealogy appointments with a librarian.

Genealogy appointments are available on Mondays and Tuesdays at the Main Library.

How do I access the material in the Dedham Collection?

Prior to accessing the Dedham Collection, you will need to fill out an Archive Materials Access Form from the circulation desk. The form will ask for your name, contact information, and what materials you are looking to access. Please note that you can only take out three materials at a time. You will need to show an ID to verify your identity when turning in the form. The archivist or other staff member will retrieve the requested materials and will be bring them to the Archive Room, where you can peruse at your own pace.
