Dedham Food Pantry

The Dedham Food Pantry helps Dedham residents by providing food at no cost. To qualify you must be a Dedham resident and meet their income guidelines. To sign up, visit the Pantry any weekday from 10am to noon, be sure to bring the registration form, which is available in Spanish and Haitian Creole, along with a government-issued photo ID as proof of identity, and a document showing your name and permanent Dedham address as proof of residency.

The Dedham Food Pantry is located on the North side of the Dedham Plaza (600 Washington Street). Their shopping hours are Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. They also have shopping for seniors on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.

Dedham Community Fridge & Pantry

A community fridge is located at and maintained by Calvary Baptist Church, 42 Needham Street. Residents are encouraged to take what you need & leave what you can.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

SNAP is a federal nutrition program administered by the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) for Massachusetts residents. It provides monthly funds through an EBT card to help purchase food. In addition to financial assistance, SNAP offers the Path to Work program, which provides free education and training opportunities, along with free child care for participating families. SNAP also provides free nutrition education classes, resources, and connections to other forms of assistance.

Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program

The Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) supports the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk. WIC provides nutritious foods to supplement diets, offers information on healthy eating, including breastfeeding promotion and support, and makes referrals to health care services.
